Mitch Gardner

Starting on saxophone at the age of 9, Mitch then moved on to teach himself guitar at 13 and has been writing songs ever since he could play chords. He independently released an EP with 5 original songs in 2013 and has been making a name for himself with his heartfelt lyrics. In 2016, Mitch appeared on the national TV show “The Voice Au” making the Semi-Finals under Ronan Keating’s guidance. On from that, Mitch has independently released his debut single ‘Scar’, followed by ‘Letter To You’. Both of which come from his EP ‘Break & The Barrel’. Scar reached No.4 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts and has passed 430,000 streams on Spotify. He also released a brand new tune titled ‘Hypnotise Me’ at the start of 2018 that is a very up beat love song with flecks of blues and jazz throughout.

Mitch is a wonderful story teller, who wears his heart on his sleeve and offers a raw and soulful performance. Adding to that his endearing personality and the listener is every bit willing to be taken on a beautiful, emotional and very personal journey with him. He utilises two guitars, some pedals along with a stomp box to provide a fairly full sound if it’s so required; and because of this, he is able to provide entertainment for almost any occasion, whether it be a beautiful, loving, relaxed wedding ceremony or a funky launch party! With songs dating back to the 50s from playing Sydney’s live music venues, he’s repertoire is always expanding and loves taking and trying to learn requests for clients!

Mitch has a quietly confident and comforting on stage presence and loves to enlighten his audience with the stories and experiences behind his songs. His music is appealing and relatable to both young and old, giving listeners a sense of familiarity and feeling that a particular song has been written and sung just for them. You cannot listen to his music without feeling it too, and that is exactly what Mitch is trying to achieve.
