“AS LONG AS IT GROOVES” are a Sydney based funk/rnb/groove cover band.

The band started in the latter half of 2004 with a lineup of experienced musicians.
They are Chloe West on vocals, Lauryn Winter on vocals, Shane Angus on guitar, Harley Economou on keys, Ken Folan on bass, David Zappia on drums.

All members of the band are in the final stages or finished studying music degrees at the Australian Institute of Music, and have years of playing experience on a professional level.

It is at the Institute that the band members met and came together. “AS LONG AS IT GROOVES” have performed in such venues as the Basement, T2 bar Taylor Square, Side on Café, Howie Complex (Sydney Showground), Cat and Fiddle hotel, Vic on the Psark, Charlie Barker room (Jannali), Coogee Bay Surf Club, and The Monkey Bar in Balmain where the band continues a fortnightly residency on Tuesday nights.
